My name is Franco Calcagnì and I am the starting spark of this project.

I am co-founder and creative director of Arachno, a web agency located in Milano – Italy, and from more than 3 years I am a passionate lomographer.

Project Paradise started from the evolution an idea that comes from experimenting with shared creativity in the eighties.

In the community of penpal/penfriends allover the world there was an object called “friendship folder”, a sort of mini-diary that was enclosed in the letters that penpals exchange, where everyone was asked to write something and send that folder to the next penfriend. At the end of the folder this item should be sent to the original sender.

Starting from that idea, more than 25 years later I decided to create an evolution of that project, keeping intact the idea of having a tangible object that can travel across a continent and working on the positive energy of the sharing things through a community that is now a modern way to communicate.
